The Vanderbilt University Office of Financial Aid offers a variety of resources and tools to help you organize yourself in preparing to pay for Vanderbilt. In addition to the plethora of information provided on this site, including a net price calculator, a handy glossary, and financial aid frequently asked questions, Vanderbilt University explains that they individually review all financial aid applications and will provide assistance for every demonstrated financial need.
There are several types of benefits and assistance programs for veterans, including tuition assistance, link to an external GI comparison tool, along with college and academic program specific programs. Vanderbilt also provides students with a comprehensive list of external resources to help plan and pay for college.
Vanderbilt cares about financial literacy and offers a tool called GradReady. This helpful tool contains three different paths to explore where students can learn real-life budgeting, investing, saving and banking skills. The three paths are "Paying for College", "Money Management", and "Real World Finance" educating students more about tuition, bills, and budgeting.

The average Vanderbilt University merit scholarship for students without financial need

Merit scholarships are awarded by Vanderbilt University on a very competitive basis to only 1% of all freshman. These are awarded to the top students who demonstrate "exceptional accomplishment and intellectual excellence." These merit-based scholarships are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study as long as the student remains in good academic standing. Freshman students entering four of the undergraduate schools have the potential to receive these merit-based scholarships.
There are also three Vanderbilt signature scholarships based on merit that are awarded to about 250 students each year. They all guarantee full tuition in addition to summer stipends for either studying abroad or pursuing service or research projects. The three signature scholarships, where you can submit applications electronically by December 1 are:
