Paying for your education at UCLA is possible! There are opportunities for grants, scholarships, and other awards along with the traditional loan and work-study options. In addition the UCLA Scholarship Resource Center is open to all prospective and current UCLA students and helps them to navigate the sometimes confusing world of scholarships. In addition, this comprehensive webpage and center provides articles, application tips, and a regular newsletter.
There are also Department Scholarships that can be applied for depending upon the department or specific college and program you are applying to. Outside Scholarship Opportunities are also something that students can take advantage of in order to help subsidize your higher education.
UCLA's Financial Wellness Program provides workshops, coaching and online education modules related to financial literacy and wellness - for current students as well as those preparing to leave campus.

University of California-Los Angeles offers several merit scholarships to incoming freshman and incoming transfer students.
UCLA Regents Scholarships are awarded for four consecutive academic years (not including summer sessions) to 100 individuals. If you are an incoming freshman or a transfer student (transfer students would only be awarded up to two consecutive academic years). All accepted students will be considered for this award and you must have "demonstrated academic excellence, leadership and exceptional promise" in your application package.
UCLA Alumni Scholarships are separated into two types:
The Freshman Alumni Scholarship
Community College Transfer Alumni Scholarship (CCTS) are made available for students transferring to UCLA from a Community College
UCLA Achievement Scholarships are awarded to incoming freshman who have demonstrated academic excellence. They are selected based on their admission application package and do not require a separate application to apply (besides the FAFSA or the Dream Act Application form required for California Financial Aid consideration). The awards range from $500-$10,000 and can be renewed for up to four consecutive years of undergraduate school.
Chancellor's Blue and Gold Scholarships are awarded to first year (or transfer students) coming from Los Angeles County High Schools. Consideration is given to applicants automatically upon admissions and financial aid department recognition of academic achievements. Awards range from $1,000-$5,000 annually and freshman can renew for up to four years while transfers can renew for up to two years.
