Texas Woman's University helps its incoming students navigate the financial aid process and cost of attendance. TWU awards financial aid based on need and merit to its students once the FAFSA has been filled out and they have been admitted to the university. Financial aid packages come in the form of a work-study opportunities, federal student and parent loans, grants, and scholarships. Students receiving federal grants may be awarded the Federal Pell Grant, the FSEOG, andor the TEACH Grant. There are also state grants including the TEXAS Grant, the Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG), the Undergraduate Board Authorized Tuition Grant (UBAT), and the Graduate Board Authorized Tuition Grant (GBAT) that students may be awarded.
Some of the different scholarships that students may be eligible for are the Terry Foundation Scholarship and the Top 10 Percent Scholarship which is both need and merit-based.
TWU's Bursar's Office offers the emergency loan installment plan for students who may be receiving aid after the payment due date of their bill. Additionally, an incentive for students who finish their degrees on time comes in the form of the Tuition Rebate Program awards students who complete their degrees within four years. Students can fill out an application for a $1,000 refund of tuition if they meet all necessary requirements for this program.
Students looking to earn extra money can look for a part-time job through the Student Employment Program. Students wishing to subsidize their education at TWU through additional scholarships can access the Pioneer Portal System for additional Departmental and College-Specific scholarship opportunities.

Texas Woman's University provides students with merit scholarships based upon academic achievement. Students must first apply to TWU and then access the Pioneer Portal and fill out the general scholarship application. The system will identify the scholarships that students are eligible for and provide further application instructions. Students are encouraged to meet the priority deadline is March 15th for fall and spring semesters. Students must have all of the application components submitted to the university in order to be considered (transcripts, test scores, etc.) Some of the merit scholarships that incoming freshmen may be eligible for are the New First-Year Student Scholarship, the TWU Honors Scholarship, the TWU Presidential Scholarship, and the Chancellor's Endowed Scholarship.
