Fordham University provides many resources to help students navigate how they will pay for school. There is the Costs and Financing Options Page with access to the net price calculator. Additionally, Fordham’s website provides access to the Costs of Attendance Page where cost is broken down by college/department so that students can obtain more specific cost information.
On the Financing Fordham Page students will find helpful budgeting Fordham University cost worksheets that are also available for download. Students can also check out the Financing Fordham reference guide to help students navigate the Financial Aid process. A Frequently Asked Financial Aid Question resource page is available for students and answers many commonly asked questions. Fordham provides financial aid information and resources to help international students and veterans navigate the financial aid process. Additionally, veterans are able to access a large amount of information through Fordham’s Veterans Initiative Page.
Once students submit the FAFSA and CSS Profile, they are then considered for financial aid packages. These are based upon merit and need. In addition to merit and need-based scholarships and grants, athletic scholarships, restricted scholarships that are very limited and require specific criteria, and a link to reputable scholarship sites with links to helpful articles to avoid scholarship scams, Fordham University offers its students work-study and non-work-study jobs available through the Student Employment Office. Other ways that help students pay for their education at Fordham include student fellowships as well as the FACHEX Program. This program stands for the Faculty and Staff Children Exchange Program and provides 100% tuition remission and is made available to faculty and staff of certain participating Jesuit colleges and universities. The full list of participating schools is provided here.
Loans are part of some students’ financial aid package. Fordham University provides a variety of loan resources including access to a loan payment calculator to help assess affordability if students choose to take out loans to pay for their education. Federal subsidized, unsubsidized, and parent loans are offered through the government. Students can also choose to apply for private loans.
Students requiring payment plans to help pay their tuition bill can do so through the Tuition Management System. There is the tuition stabilization plan available to students as well which allows them to lock in tuition rates and afford school without an annually increasing tuition cost to worry about.
