Drexel University provides merit and need-based assistance to its students along with other types of financial assistance including need-based grants, loans, federal work-study opportunities, fellowships, assistantships, and scholarships. Besides the merit scholarships listed above, the university also provides Drexel Legacy Scholarship to children and grandchildren of Drexel University Alumni as well as a variety of athletic, ROTC, and Phi Theta Kappa.
Other options for financial assistance at Drexel include tuition remission opportunities for employees and their spouses and dependents, outside private scholarships, financial resources for veterans including Yellow Ribbon Program where Drexel matches the government’s contribution to your education for eligible veterans and dependants, and the Tuition Exchange Program where students from other national universities can take advantage of a Drexel University education with benefits as outlined through this program.

Financing Options are available through Drexel as well as pages dedicated to undergraduate financial resources and international students financial resources. The Financial Aid page includes an undergraduate financial checklist, another tool to help students and families to prepare for their Drexel University education.
A couple of financial literacy learning opportunities are offered including the Drexel University LeBow School of Business that provides a 4-credit personal finance course. In addition, there is a Campus Resource Group called Women’s Financial Literacy & Learning that helps empower women to take control of their financial lives and is sponsored by the Office of Equality and Diversity and the Women's and Gender Studies Program. This program meets monthly.
Occasional events are hosted to help boost financial literacy and provide education through the Drexel University Graduate College Coffee Hour Seminar Series.
The Health Services page on the Drexel University website provides information on a Peer Counseling program. Students can be trained to become a peer counselor or use the service for free. Although this is not a resource that is only dedicated to financial issues, it is a resource offered by Drexel to help students reach out during stressful times and situations. These types of situations can include financially-based stressors.

Drexel University offers a variety of merit-based scholarships to its incoming freshman. Some scholarships, such as the Drexel Merit Scholarship opportunity is determined during the admissions process. The Westphal Portfolio Scholarship is also determined during the admissions process and students are automatically evaluated if they applied to an academic program that required a portfolio submission. The portfolio will be used as part of the evaluation process. Additional merit scholarships that are offered are the Global Scholars Program Scholarship and the Drexel Liberty Scholarship. These require separate applications that can be accessed on the Discover Drexel page. There are a variety of specialty merit-based scholarships as well and they are listed here. Scholarships are applied each semester as long as students maintain a full-time status and at least a 2.75 GPA.
